Update on State/Territory Nomination Allocations

Immigration has now assigned the 2023-24 allocations to the States and Territory’s. The new allocations are as follows:

So far, no places for the Business Innovation and Investment Program have been allocated. These allocations are significantly lower than anticipated, with some States receiving less than half of the places of previous years.

The Department of Home Affairs advised that reductions in this program were enacted across the entire Skilled Nominated Program due to the large number of yet to be finalised applications currently in the system. The Department has not advised whether additional allocations will be available later this year, when the backlog has been cleared.
